Attorney General Keith Ellison is accepting applications on a rolling basis from attorneys at all levels of experience who are interested in a career of public service and representing the government in significant lawsuits to help Minnesotans afford their lives and live with dignity, safety, and respect.

Assistant Attorneys General appear on behalf of the State of Minnesota in administrative, state, and federal district and appellate courts in a wide variety of case types. The work of the Office of the Attorney General protects public safety, everyday consumers and workers, the environment, and the State and its various agencies and boards. Attorneys can expect excellent litigation experience in handling their own cases and helping to build and create a better, safer, and more equitable Minnesota.

This posting may be used to fill multiple positions. Applications received from this posting will be used to fill current and future vacancies in these job classes at the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General through November 15, 2022.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered at the Staff Attorney 2 (S2) level applicants must have 5 or more years of civil litigation experience or equivalent.

To be considered at the Staff Attorney 3 (S3) level applicants must have 10 or more years of civil litigation experience or equivalent.
