The Office is currently seeking an Assistant Attorney General in the Residential Utilities Division of the Office. The attorney’s primary caseload will involve advocating for residential and small business utility customers. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly committed and collaborative team that makes a difference in the everyday lives of Minnesotans. 

As an Assistant Attorney General, you will work alongside analysts to advocate for policies that will improve the lives of Minnesota’s residential and small business ratepayers receiving electric, gas, and landline telephone service. The division primarily appears before the Public Utilities Commission and the Office of Administrative Hearings. The position may also provide opportunities to appear before Minnesota’s appellate courts and to participate in formal and informal stakeholder groups addressing areas of emerging public utility policy. 

This position is eligible for a hybrid work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered at the S2 level, candidates must have 6 years of related experience.  To be considered at the S3 level, candidates must have 12 years of related experience.
