Description: Twenty-five years after Minnesota’s original landmark litigation against big tobacco, the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office took legal action against Juul and Altria for deceptively marketing e-cigarettes to children and young adults. On August 7, Assistant Attorneys General Eric J. Maloney and Adam Welle will discuss Juul’s role in the emergence of youth use of e-cigarettes, the State’s litigation against Juul and other cases involving Juul and vaping products, and a recently approved $60.5 million settlement.
