Attorney General Ellison launches new biweekly podcast: ‘Affording Your Life with Keith Ellison’

Dedicated to fairness, justice, and consumer information to help people afford their lives; new episode to be released every other Monday

September 9, 2019 (SAINT PAUL) — Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison today launched his new podcast, entitled “Affording Your Life with Keith Ellison.” It is currently available for listening or download on most major podcast platforms, as well as on Attorney General Ellison’s website.

The podcast will cover a variety of topics related to fairness, justice, and consumer information to help people afford their lives. A new episode of the podcast will be released every other Monday, along with a full video of the recording of each podcast. Episodes will usually run between 20 and 30 minutes in length, and will take the form of a conversation between Attorney General Ellison and a guest or guests.

“There’s so much to share about helping people afford their lives — and people consume information in so many different ways. The podcast is a longer-form, more in-depth way for Minnesotans to learn about what we’re doing to help them afford their lives, as well as a way to spark a broader conversation about how we can make that easier for people,” Attorney General Ellison said.

The first episode of the podcast, entitled “Affording Your Insulin,” is a conversation between Attorney General Ellison and Nicole Smith-Holt, Charity Ambassador of T1 International, leader of the fight for #Insulin4All, and co-chair of the Minnesota Attorney General's Advisory Task Force on Lowering Pharmaceutical Drug Prices. Episode 2 of the “Affording Your Life with Keith Ellison” podcast will be released on Monday, September 23.

From 2015–18, while a member of Congress, Ellison released 43 episodes of a podcast called “We the Podcast” that covered a wide range of issues related to economic and social justice.
