Attorney General Ellison issues consumer alert about Radio Link Internet’s abrupt closure and filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy

June 8, 2026 (SAINT PAUL) — Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison released the following consumer alert on how Minnesotans can protect themselves following Radio Link Internet abruptly closing its business and filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Radio Link Internet’s Sudden Closure

On June 1, 2026, Radio Link Internet filed for bankruptcy (case #26-31830), in the federal District of Minnesota Bankruptcy Court.  Radio Link customers report that without any advance warning the company informed them it was permanently closing its business operations, and that Radio Link Internet’s website, customer service phone line, and company email addresses were also immediately shut down.  Consumers also report that they recently paid for internet service in advance, including up to one-year of service, shortly before Radio Link Internet’s sudden announcement.

Steps to Protect Yourself

If you are a Minnesota consumer who was impacted by Radio Link Internet’s sudden closure and bankruptcy, here’s what you need to know:

1) Preserve your records.
Keep copies of all receipts, invoices, and correspondence related to your purchase for any services Radio Link Internet failed to deliver. These documents are important to show proof of services you paid for.

2) Contact your payment source as soon as possible.
If you paid for services with a credit or debit card, contact your credit card company or bank directly to request a “chargeback” for undelivered services and learn more about the process. You may be asked to submit documentation to support your chargeback request.

3) File a complaint with our Office.
Attorney General Ellison urges anyone with concerns or information about Radio Link Internet’s abrupt closure to contact his office by calling (651) 296-3353 (Metro area), (800) 657-3787 (Greater Minnesota), or (800) 627-3529 (Minnesota Relay), or by filing a complaint online.  If you were impacted, submit a complaint to the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office.  The Office is tracking this matter as it develops and will keep consumers informed about the latest developments in Radio Link Internet’s bankruptcy proceeding, but we need to hear from you to do so.

The Minnesota Attorney General’s Office is currently investigating what caused the abrupt closure of Radio Link Internet and why consumers were not provided advance warning of any impending closure or bankruptcy.  The Office will continue to monitor the bankruptcy proceedings and will make consumers aware of their rights, including any future claim deadlines.
