Assistant Attorney General - Civil Rights Division

The Office is seeking an Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Rights Division of the Office. A successful candidate will have the opportunity to support the mission of the office by:
- Enforcing and vindicating the rights of Minnesota consumers impacted by unlawful discrimination across housing, education, lending, and places of public accommodation
- Investigating and prosecuting violations of state consumer protection laws, including false advertising and unlawful, unfair, or fraudulent business practices
- Leading and supporting complex, high-profile civil litigation with potential nationwide impact, including cases involving vulnerable populations such as immigrants, the elderly, and low-income renters
- Drafting amicus briefs on significant civil rights and consumer protection issues
- Reviewing and proposing legislation and regulations affecting consumers
- Engaging in consumer outreach, education, and advocacy initiatives
Assistant Attorney General - Public Safety Division

The Office is currently seeking an Assistant Attorney General in the Public Safety Division of the Office. The Public Safety Division serves an important role within the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General. Lawyers in the Public Safety Division represent the Commissioner of Public Safety on matters involving implied consent, revocations, forfeitures, and title matters; provide advice, counsel and representation to several boards; and respond to citizen inquiries.
Investigator – Medicaid Fraud Division

The Office’s Medicaid Fraud Division is currently seeking an Investigator with the skills and drive to uncover, investigate, and stop fraudulent claims made to taxpayer-funded public health insurance programs. Investigators conduct criminal investigations into health care providers suspected of defrauding the Minnesota Medicaid program. The investigator reviews complaints against public health care providers; evaluates and analyzes claims data, medical records, and financial records; conducts research and surveillance; interviews victims, witnesses, and targets of investigations; participates in the execution of search warrants; drafts reports summarizing investigative findings; and works with attorneys to prepare cases for prosecution. Investigators are required to testify about their findings at criminal jury trials.

Not all agencies will be appointed the same counsel necessarily; RFQ respondents are encouraged to apply for any and all state entities they wish to represent.
